About Me.

After high school I studied electronic technology at United Electronics Institute in Little Rock. After two years of study I graduated and got my first electronics job with a cable TV company in Helena, Arkansas. I moved back to Memphis, Tennessee, and got a job with the Baptist Hospital as a biomedical technician. Working at the hospital was very interesting as I maintained cardiac monitors, defibrillators, blood analyzers, and dialysis machines. A year later the Memphis police department offered me a job maintaining their radios, light bars, radar guns, and surveillance equipment. I stayed with them for 31 years as the city of Memphis communication system grew from a few VHF channels with tube type mobile radios into a modern solid-state computer controlled trunking system with over 30 channels that are shared with Shelby County government.

In 2007 I retired. A few years later my wife and I purchased a white Toyota Tundra and a 17 foot Casita travel trailer. We both love to travel, seeing the wonders of this country, making use of our love of photography, and gathering information and ideas for our stories. Our longest trip was in the spring of 2011 when we spent two months traveling around California, Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico. This is when I got the idea for the Dodson novel series.

When my wife and I are not on the road we make our home in Memphis, Tennessee, where I am constantly working at my computer, writing, doing research, computer programming, or just trying to keep up with the new technologies that seem to change the world overnight.
